It may be an understatement to say that its been a little while since i have last blogged. One may imply that the lack of blogging may seriously impair writing skill. I hope that is not the case as i now begin to fire back up the writing.
First off, my main excuse for not blogging would be this past break from school. On top of that, it was my final skiing state finals up north and in computer exile for the past week. I just recently returned home from Marquette all the way up in the U.P. But i first began the week once again getting sick with another unexplainable cold. It seems as though my immune system is flawed as i extract every new virus or cold that comes around. Despite this, i still made time to train and ski as much as my body would allow for. This goes to say that i hardly did anything but ski and sleep off the stupid cold. Fast forwarding to last Sunday, my dad, brother, and i got up early to drive the rest of the way up to Marquette from our condo in Petoskey. I had imagined a more boring drive but this one did not turn out so. For the parts that i was awake, i got to see the natural landscape accompanied by the many small towns of the Upper Peninsula. Three and a half hours later we were in the small , somewhat of a college town of Marquette.
We soon met up with all the rest of our ski team up for states later that night after training. Excitement and anticipation filled us but was soon overlayed by the antics of the night thanks to some ski team alumni that decided to show up at our hotel.
Shortly thereafter came the state competition which was just yesterday. Our ski team was among the other eight that made it and seriously under-skilled in skiing the bigger hills. Needless to say we finished second-to-last in the competition. I still maintain, although, that we had quite the successful season in making it so far.
